Our English-speaking property search team Studio Casatua will help you at every step of the journey of discovering and creating your dream home anywhere in Italy.
We are Italian property finders or ‘buyers agents’. We work exclusively for you, not the seller — to find your dream home in Italy cutting out the time and stress it takes to discover that Italian jewel you have always dreamed about.
Our well-established process, will help you find the right property at the right price, saving you time, money and heartache in the process.
- PROPERTY SHORT LIST — We will create a short list based on your pre-agreed criteria
- IN-PERSON OR VIRTUAL INSPECTIONS — We will inspect your favorite short listed properties making videos or, on a live video call so you can view them without having to travel. Alternatively we can host you in person, pre-organizing your in-person property visits to make the best use of your time including driving or accompanying you personally.
- NEGOTIATIONS — Our experienced negotiators are fluent in Italian and will only be representing you to ensure you get the best price. Once we’ve found your dream home we can guide you through the legal process to ensure a safe, secure purchase and a great investment.
- LEGAL DUE DILIGENCE & STRUCTURAL SURVEYS — Before you pay any deposit, we must ensure your desired property is structurally sound and legally compliant. Our legal and architectural team will complete full inspections and surveys to ensure your purchase is safe.
- DRAFTING & REGISTRATION OF THE PREMIMINARY CONTRACT — We will assist in drafting the initial purchase contract under which you pay a deposit before moving to completion. We can add any specific requirements conditional to the sale at this point.
- ENGLISH SPEAKING LEGAL AND FINANCIAL TEAM — We will connect you with our trusted team of English speaking advisers including notaries, lawyers, mortgage brokers, accountants advising along the way to ensure a successful completion.
- RENOVATION — Even before purchase we can assist you in evaluating a renovation project with design ideas and building cost estimates to evaluate the property potential.
Design
Studio Casatua is an established full service design studio with an English speaking international team of architects, engineers and interior design professionals who will work with you to realize your dream home in Italy.
TIM AND CAND LEFT
Led by British born designer Candida Surgenor who began her career on exclusive private residences for London based developers Candy&Candy followed by ten years in Australia designing everything from high end private residences to 5 star hotels and restaurants. Candida also designs bespoke furniture of course, Made in Italy, if you desire to make your home truly unique.
We offer end-to-end design services from architecture, spatial planning and interior design right through to landscape, garden and pool concepts, construction support and decoration for home renovations and new builds.
We understand the importance of our task; building dream homes. For most, it only happens once in a lifetime. So when we design homes we do so being inspired by, and walking hand in hand with our clients. Their style, their sense of luxury, how they want to feel and use their home.
Each of our home designs are unique. But what remains constant is our passion and commitment to delivering homes where design and functionality work harmoniously together so our homes are equally as beautiful to look at as live in.
With a collaborative and clear 4 step design process led by an English speaking team there will be no room for confusion or misunderstanding.
Four-steps to your Italian dream home —

Dream
At a kick-off meeting we explore the scope of work and determine how we can help you. We will discuss space planning, your stylistic preferences and the way you, your family members and your guests interact at your home. We will review the styles, colors and materials you love and those you don’t. We will also conduct a site analysis of your home to identify design solutions, examine indoor and outdoor requirements and maximize space. Your budget is also confirmed at this early stage to effectively inform the design process.

Design
We curate a mood board with images, references and potential directions for your renovation. The mood board, which includes an initial floor plan, is presented to you for sign off. We ensure that you’re happy with the concept before we lock in the details. If required for larger projects, we will also navigate building permits and obtain all the necessary approvals to commence the project. A licensed architect is part of our team, so we are well-equipped to think holistically about each and every renovation.

Documentation
The project springs to life. We create detailed specifications, including build plans, elevation drawings and 3D renderings, as well as a catalogue of fittings, fixtures and finishes for every room. We will specify hard finishes, such as timber flooring, tiles, benchtops and joinery. Lighting, soft furnishings, wall finishes and furniture are also noted in this master guide. Once again, you sign off on this document and any updates are made now.
